Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is available at no cost to every child, from birth to age five, in the state of Tennessee through a partnership with Governor’s Books from Birth Foundation and other private-public partners.
To increase community awareness and the number of children enrolled in the program, we worked with GBBF to create a strong core message and a simplified explanation of the partnership with Imagination Library, and refreshed its visual identity system and core marketing collateral.
Revealing the True Essence of GBBF
Our first step in rebranding projects is a brand review. Through interviews, participant surveys and research, we discovered opportunities to strengthen GBBF’s messaging. Core brand messaging and a refreshed logo were designed to reflect GBBF’s brand attributes that were revealed through the review. To maintain a consistent brand across the state’s 95-county programs, brand guidelines and program material templates were created and distributed to all volunteer leaders, allowing them to easily create appropriately branded materials for their outreach and programs.
One of GBBF’s key challenges was communicating their relationship with Imagination Library. So, we created a shortened verbal explanation and an infographic to explain the partnership.
Celebrating Success and Highlighting Program Impacts
2014 marked 10 years and 20 million books delivered, and GBBF wanted to celebrate in a big way. Leadership hit the road in a tour bus, visiting nearly all the county programs in three weeks, and closed the tour with a celebration at Legislative Plaza. We designed some exciting 10th anniversary collateral – invitations, stickers and even the bus wrap!
