Aquinas College is a four-year, private liberal arts Catholic college in Nashville. Through outstanding academic programs in nursing, business, education, and arts and sciences, they cultivate a community of students who encourage one another to grow academically and spiritually. We partnered with Aquinas College to craft this message and build their brand.

We worked with Aquinas to create a consistent visual and verbal identiy that highlights Aquinas’ unique attributes. We developed a strong core message, identified key brand attributes and designed a visual identity system and core marketing collateral.

We first clarified and articulated Aquinas’ main message so that it is focused and engaging. Through a brand review and a study of key competitors, we discovered four key areas of distinction that creates the most authentic picture of being a part of the Aquinas family. We used these attributes to crafted verbal messaging and visual elements that fully express the experience. In collaboration with Yellow Specs Design and Betsy Snyder Words + Strategy, we applied the new brand to a refreshed website, identity collateral and other marketing materials, including Aquinas’ viewbook. We presented the essence of Aquinas in the viewbook, a keystone marketing piece, through custom photography of campus and students, carefully crafted copy and unified design.

We then worked with Aquinas’ recruitment team to establish an ongoing system for marketing to potential students. After creating a strategic schedule of touch points including direct mail, email marketing and social media, we designed collateral to be used during the schedule.

In continued collaboration with Aquinas, we ensure the brand is applied to all marketing efforts –– billboards, its annual magazine and even directing the production of marketing videos. A well-designed brand system –– a clear verbal message paired with carefully selected visual elements –– conveys an authentic and unified story that exemplify the unique Aquinas experience.
